The government of the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, “collaborates constructively in Europe”, for example on the issue of immigration. This is what was declared by the president of the European People's Party (EPP), Manfred Weber, during a meeting with journalists today in Berlin.
Weber highlighted that the agreement between the EU and Tunisia for the management of migratory flows "would not have been so possible without Antonio Tajani, the Italian Foreign Minister, by whom it was practically negotiated".
And regarding an agreement between the EPP and the Party of European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR), Weber observed that the decisions of the ECR "are up to the formation led by Meloni", however the pro-EU positions of the Prime Minister constitute a criterion "always decisive for the EPP", concluded Weber.
