BUBBLEFLASH - It's official! - Ursula Von der Leyen, Antonio Costa and Kaja Kallas have been selected by the six EU negotiators as heads of European Commission, European Council and European foreign policy service. The three names will be presented for approval this Thursday. But Lady Ursula's road is still uphill: the vote in Parliament remains a stumbling block that cannot be taken for granted.

Ursula and Merz: make us laugh! The two Germans are convinced that they can play Trump cleverly. Proportional representation often leads to variable majorities in parliament. Something that S&D and Renew are unable to understand. So it seems that the stalemate that the EU institutions had reached in the process of forming the Commission has been overcome with a somewhat questionable formula: the three parties of the “Ursula” majority (EPP, S&D and Renew) will draw up some kind of political document that will serve as proof that this kind of majority is good, while the other majorities are bad. The EPP had cleverly divided the right into a pro-Western and constructive right (ECR) and a pro-Putin and defeatist right (Patriots and ESN). An operation carried out in the interest of the survival of Europe itself. Bubblereport #18 – The EPP congress elected Lady Ursula as its candidate for the encore presidency of the European Commission with only 400 votes in favor out of the 737 delegates entitled to vote. Of the 499 voters, 89 voted against her and 10 ballots were spoiled. The poor girl, who already has to run against herself, even received a slap in the face from Breton (former EPP and now Macron’s man in the Commission), who said: “Despite her qualities, Ursula von der Leyen is being outvoted by her own party. The real question now is: Is it possible to (re)entrust the running of Europe to the EPP for another 5 years, or 25 years in a row? The EPP itself does not seem to believe in its candidate”

Nobody wants Lady Ursula anymore! – The congress that nominated Von der Leyen as candidate for the Commission showed a clear split: many did not vote for her. The EPP will be the tiebreaker, even with all its divisions. Weber is champing at the bit to take the most coveted post, backed by a strong conservative support. But unexpected help for Lady Ursula could come from Giorgia Meloni, although the latter in turn risks splitting the ECR. The group’s vice-president, a Vox exponent, has already distanced himself: ‘We will not vote for her’.
