Abdessalem Lassoued, who was believed to have killed two Swedish visitors on Boulevard d'Ypres in Brussels on the 16th of October, has died. Belgian media reported this. The man alleged to be the bomber was shot by police the morning of 17th in Schaerbeek, a city suburb. The police got a call that the 45-year-old Tunisian, was in a bar: following their arrival, a shootout ensued and the suspect suffered a critical chest gunshot wound. He died later in the hospital. The weapon used in the terrorist attack, in which a taxi driver was also hurt, was found next to him. The police is currently looking for two other individuals.

According to the investigators, Lassoued arrived in Lampedusa in 2011 and then went to Sweden. After other stops in Italy, Belgium was his last destination.
